CraneFest is a jointly-sponsored event between Michigan Audubon and the Kiwanis Club of Battle Creek. The festival site is the Kiwanis Youth Area, overlooking Big Marsh Lake at baker Sanctuary.
The event runs from noon to dusk, featuring activities, a nature-based art show, vendors, and more.
A major attraction will be watching thousands of Sandhill Cranes return to the adjoining Baker Sanctuary. The “Fly-In” typically begins slowly throughout the afternoon with the largest number of cranes arriving between 5 PM and dusk.
Admission is free but there is a minimal parking fee.
