Weed Walk on the Mike Levine Lakelands Trail-Dalton Rd. area

  • Tuesday, August 20, 2024
  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • 5998 Hawkins Rd, Jackson

Join us for weed walk along Mike Levine Lakelands Trail west of Dalton Rd.  Joann Ballbach will lead us and finally settle the big question:  "What is a weed."  Well, perhaps not, but we'll learn about some common plants that are called weeds and talk about what makes a plant a weed.

This section is the far west section of the trail that starts way to the east near Hamburg.  This walk will likely continue into an open area where there are lots of summer grassland birds.  eBird hotspot LINK.

NOTE:  This event starts at 10 AM.
Park at the intersection of the trail and Dalton Rd. north of  Trumble Rd.  This is the southern intersection of the trail and Dalton where the road is traversing north/south. This is NOT the intersection of Dalton to the north where Dalton is traversing east/west.
