The Audubon Society of Jackson County, Michigan
Join us for one of the most favorite birding spots in Michigan: the Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center. This facility includes the wastewater treatment pools, surrounding trails, and an adjacent landfill. The center is very bird-friendly.
This location can bring in some rarely seen species and large number of waterfowl and gulls. The plant visit will be followed by lunch at Turk’s Tavern or another venue.
An option on our way back to greater Jackson, Dale Kennedy & Doug White might take us to some Calhoun County water hotspots to find some shorebirds.
Registration is required for this event as cars driving on the dikes require a permit. Registration will OPEN on 04/01 and will close on Friday 04/17. A carpool will leave from the Jackson area at 8:00 AM.
