east of Brooklyn. Watkins Lake typically has large numbers of waterfowl during migration. In past years, tours have seen tundra, greater white-fronted, snow, Ross's, and cackling geese among the Canadas and bald and golden (once) eagles. The lake is windier than your yard, so wear an extra layer and a hat. Please arrive in time for a carpool to leave promptly at 9 a.m. from the east side (nearest Summit Township’s offices) of the Polly’s Country Market parking lot, 2119 Ferguson Road, Jackson (42.198482, -84.439890). if you would rather drive separately, meet the group on Arnold Road at the south end of the lake, 1,000 feet north of Horning Road (42.121215, -84.137901).
