The Audubon Society of Jackson County, Michigan
Please join us for a visit to State Park and County Preserve, a new park managed jointly between the Michigan DNR and Washtenaw County.
Jackson Audubon’s tour be to Watkins Lake State Park and County Preserve east of Brooklyn. Watkins Lake typically has large numbers of waterfowl during migration. In past years, tours have seen tundra, greater white-fronted, snow, Ross's, and cackling geese among the Canadas and bald and golden (once) eagles. The lake is windier than your yard, so wear an extra layer and a hat.
NOTE: No Carpool Meet at the parking lot which is on the north side of the park on Arnold Rd.
