The Tuesday Group will venture into Washtenaw County to visit one for the county's nature preserves purchased under the Natural Areas Preservation Program. Joann Ballbach will lead us on a "getting ready for spring" walk." It's never too early! She'll talk about strategies plants and animals use to overwinter. We should see a few raptors and there is usually a pileated woodpecker in residence there. The habitat is grassland, woods, and a small lake shore where cranes and waterfowl can bee seen.
Preserve information is available HERE.
NOTE: This is a 10:00 start time for the tour.
