Phil Peterson will be presenting  Establishing A Bluebird Nest Box Trail - A How-to Guide.  This program will discuss the elements and efforts necessary to establish and maintain a successful bluebird nest box trail. The presentation will include information on how to perform a habitat assessment and will include information on nest box installation, next box monitoring and more.

Phil is the Vice President of the Michigan Bluebird Society, an organization committed to the nesting success of the Eastern Bluebird and other native cavity nesting birds.  He actively monitors a 19 box bluebird nest box trail at Sleepy Hollow State Park and routinely fledges 30+ bluebirds each year.  His other duties at MBS include Events Director and the Shiawassee County Coordinator, helping MBS members in Shiawassee County improve their bluebird nesting success.

Meetings will begin with a social time at 6:30 PM with short meeting and program at 7:00 PM.

Bring recyclables (magazines, feeders, etc.) to the program.
